Dance Arts is a pre-professional performing company that is organized under Florida Dance Arts, a 501(3)(c) non-profit organization. The goal of Dance Arts is to provide pre-professional training for dancers along with multiple performance opportunities. Dance Arts includes three companies: Ensemble, Dance Arts II, and Dance Arts.


Ensemble - No Audition Required

The purpose of Ensemble is to provide dancers with the opportunity to perform, attend workshops and conventions, learn repertory, and to be involved in a group committed to furthering their dance education. Requirements: Ensemble is open to ages 6-12 and meets once a week for rehearsals. Dancers wishing to be a part of Ensemble are required to be enrolled in one ballet class and one additional technique class. The fee is $40 monthly (September-May). Cost of travel, conventions and workshops is the responsibility of the dancer.


Dance Arts and Dance Arts II - Audition Required

The purpose of Dance Arts and Dance Arts II is to provide intensive pre-professional training including master classes with guest faculty, featured roles, and working with guest choreographers. Requirements: Acceptance into Dance Arts or Dance Arts II is by audition only. Being a member of Dance Arts or Dance Arts II is a commitment. Members are expected to attend all classes and rehearsals as well as participate in all Dance Arts performances and events. Dancers will meet on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and are required to be enrolled in one ballet class and two additional technique classes. The fee is $80 monthly (August-May) along with an initial fee of $150 that covers Dance Arts II or Dance Arts company jacket and/or other company clothing items. Cost of travel, conventions and workshops is the responsibility of the dancer.
